Croatia is in Southeastern Europe and stretches along the Adriatic coast bordering Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary and Slovenia, with the River Danube running along its northern border. For outdoor activities the mountain ranges of the Northern Velebit National Park are a haven for hiking and rock climbing, while the Cetina Valley makes a challenging site for white-water rafting. The Adriatic offers ideal conditions for sailing, scuba-diving and sea-kayaking in sites such as Zlatni Rat on Brač or the pebble beach of Baška on Krk.
